			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This time next week i&#8217;ll be on board, just having my evening meal. Its going to be a long time away from home and my 3rd 7 month deployment but this is to a new area, well the last three months is to a new area. I&#8217;m looking forward to it but i&#8217;m going to miss home and possibly not see my dog ever again, she&#8217;s getting old with a liver disease so i&#8217;m going to miss her when i&#8217;m away. Sad really but hey i&#8217;ve not got a missus so what else do I have to worry about.</p>
<p>I hope you can continue to monitor my progress through the high seas. I&#8217;ll update the blog again before we set sail.</p>

Workouts: 100 Sit Ups &amp; 20 Press Ups</p>

<p>AIM: Complete 3 Miles at steady pace in under 30 min<br />
Workouts: 100 Sit Ups, 10 wide arm press ups and 20 short arm press ups</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Friday 14th August 2009</strong></span></p>
<p>AIM: Rest Day From Running<br />
Workout: 100 Tripod Sit Ups, 20 Bench Dips</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Saturday 15th 2009</strong></span></p>
<p>AIM: Total Rest Day</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Sunday 16th 2009</strong></span></p>
<p>AIM: Mountain Biking +30 miles</p>
<p>Hopefully I can achieve these!! Especially the bike ride as I love riding, I will be riding cross the Cleveland Hills, hopefully the weather will be good.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well I woke up today and and i&#8217;ve not ached like this for a long time and this is only because of a 2.3 mile up yesterday. I&#8217;ve been thinking about what i&#8217;m doing and a plan would be a great idea so i&#8217;m going to write a weekly plan of what i&#8217;m going to do for the week ahead. I&#8217;ll look at some sites and write one up from now until sunday and post it on the site. I couldn&#8217;t have ran today, my legs are hurting and my lower back also around the stomach but that might have been the press ups that I was doing yesterday.</p>
<p>So i&#8217;m still going to do some press ups and sit ups but no running today. Will do some more running tomorrow, let my body recover as I did push my self pretty hard yesterday. I&#8217;m also going to try and not eat as much as yesterday. Had 2 slices of toast for my breakfast and that will do for me till lunch which is only 2 hours away. So i&#8217;ll post up my fitness routine for the rest of the week and i&#8217;ll put it up sometime this afternoon, i would like some feedback if possible, ways to improve my workouts.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I fear this might be my biggest downfall for the next few weeks. I&#8217;m on leave at the moment until the 31st August and when I get bored I eat. For example today I had breakfast at McDonalds (2 Egg Muffins and Pancakes with syrup), then at dinner I had a bowl of tomato soup with 5 slices of bread. Then I had a pizza just a moment ago as I was starving. There wasn&#8217;t anything else in the fridge so picked up the phone and ordered a pizza.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m getting up early again tomorrow to go for another run round Albert Park, I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ll run as fast, but I want to do an extra lap of the park to get over 3 miles run. I&#8217;ve done a few press-ups and situps tonight. I just need a few tips on how to stop cravings! I&#8217;m a really fussy eater, don&#8217;t eat fruit or veg and the only meat I eat is either chicken or turkey.</p>
<p>Anyway i&#8217;ll update the block again tomorrow morning after my run. Updating the blog twice daily is enough for the time being. When I go back down to Portsmouth at the end this month i&#8217;ll be updating the blog on the evenings as i&#8217;ll be working so can only train on the evening time running around Portsmouth Naval Dock Yard.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[Well completed my first run of many many more. The weather was nice today, sunny and about 14*c. Woke up at 0615 and didn&#8217;t really want to get up, anyway dragged myself out my my pit and put some shorts and T-Shirt on. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well completed my first run of many many more. The weather was nice today, sunny and about 14*c. Woke up at 0615 and didn&#8217;t really want to get up, anyway dragged myself out my my pit and put some shorts and T-Shirt on. I then put my watch on and heartrate monitor and headed for the towns park (Albert Park). Took me a while to get a GPS signal on the watch but did eventually, people must have thought &#8220;whats he doing there stood staring at his watch&#8221;</p>
<p>Anyway I eventually got a GPS signal so started running, the first lap was easy, but the second lap was boring and my legs and feet were starting to hurt. Not good really after just over a mile, but I guess I&#8217;m just not used to running, the more I do the easier it will become. <p>I just need to try and keep motivated now and maybe do a run tonight, if not tonight then definately tomorrow morning again, nice and early. Actually I might save the night work for a few press-ups and sit-ups. By doing that I might not get bored with running.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m not officially starting this until the 23rd August 2009. But before the 23rd I will be lightly training as i&#8217;ve not ran for years and wouldn&#8217;t want any injuries as soon as I start, that would not be good for the cause. At the moment i&#8217;m 14st exactly, I&#8217;m not too fussed about losing the weight, I just want to tone up and lose the gut!! No fitness routines are planned at the moment, i&#8217;m just going to go with the flow and just run and do some upper body workouts just to get in the swing of things!!</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll be doing most of my running in Portsmouth and Middlesbrough, yeah there over 300 miles away from each other, but I&#8217;m in the Navy. I work in Portsmouth and Live in Middlesbrough at the weekends when i&#8217;m not required on board. I&#8217;m going to try and update this log for the next year so hopefully many people will keep track of my progress.</p>
<p>Its 19:15 at the moment, the past week all i&#8217;ve been doing is drinking and eating rubbish, parmos and pizzas mainly ha, not good. I&#8217;m getting up at 0600 tomorrow for my first run, i&#8217;m just going to take it easy, i&#8217;ll post up all my data or a link to it anyway so you can see where I have ran and how far. Also what my heartrate was, elevation and even the weather. I love gadgets <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> .</p>
<p>Right I&#8217;m going to have my last pizza for a bit and get on the Vodka and coke, great preperation for a run tomorrow. I&#8217;m not gonna stop eating the rubbish, i&#8217;m just not going to eat as much and as often as I am at the moment.</p>
